So That´s That Really Happened

Summary of this week´s chapters

The Colonel went to talk to Jake but he only told him that Alaska and him did not fight, they only talked a little bit and Alaska freaked out and hung up but Jake did not knew where she was going or what she was doing. The Colonel and Pudge did a prank in memory of Alaska since it was a prank she planned before. Later, they made a theory which was that Alaska forgot the aniversary of her mother´s death, she always used to put flowers on her anniversary but since she forgot she went to the graveyard that night to put her flowers and since she was mad, and sad, and drunk she got hit by the cruiser. After talking to Takumi abot this, he tells them that was true because that was exactly what Alaksa told Takumi before she drove to the graveyard.

Important quotes

"So I know she forgives me, just as I forgive her" (Green 221).

I think it´s great how the book ends up this way. I think it is great how Pudge now is more accepting the fact that she is not there anymore and like accepting it in a good way. I think in these last chapters the author was putting a lot of emotions specially Pudge´s emotions. So I think is really nice how as a reader you like see how Pudgde has overcome this and in some way the reader too.

"We should do something for her. A prank. Something she would have loved" (Green 199).

I really like how Alaska´s friends really make her feel soimportant. I mean like she died a lot time ago and they still make her feel important and they still care about her. I think what is really great about all of them is how they make this really significant but small details. Like just thinking she would love a prank in her memory is so nice. And also like making Alaska´s memory be something that would really make like sense like being more her style.

Final thoughts

I liked this book so much I can´t even believed its already over. All this time reading this book most of my emotions was that I was really shocked like every chapter something really important or shocking happened so I really liked that. Also, I always remembered about Pudge and his great perhaps and I always thought abou different perhaps until now that I am sure it is Alaska. I really liked how is connected to like teen´s lives and that is like what I really like in books. I think this is a great book and I would recommend this book because it is worth reading it.

It Happened Because of Drinks

Summary of this week´s chapters

My reaction when I read Alaska died.
The Eagle tells everybody at Culver that Alaska had a car accident last night and passed away. When she went on her car, she crashed quickly towards a cruiser. The Colonel and Pudge felt so bad and started to feel guilty. Pudge is so sad about Alaska´s death that he is unable to do a lot of things and he finds a quote that Alaska found that was "How will I ever get out of this labyrinth!" and Alaska wrote "straight and fast". Pudge and the Colonel try to find out what happened to Alaska that night. The Colonel wanted to talk to Jake to know if it was his fault to what happened to Alaska but Pudge did not wanted. Then, the Colonel and Pudge made a plan to get as drunk as Alaska was that night to try to figure out what happened and they realised that Alaska could't have drove that night like that.

Important quotes

"And Christ, Miles, what the hell is wrong with you?"

I can connect to what Pudge was feeling that time. Once, I had a day that I didn't really thought what I said before saying it and I hurt one of my friends feelings. I made her feel so upset she didn't want to talk to me. Later, I felt upset of what I said and I was thinking just like Pudge like what is wrong with me like what am I doing? I understand how Pudge was thinking like everything he did was wrong.

"At leat it was instant. At least there wasn't any pain".

I think that these few chapters John Green showed a lot of emotions. His like authors tools if there was one could have been to show the emotions of like Pudge and the Colonel. In this chapters it shows a lot of what they thought and how much they cared about Alaska and that is something I thought was great that John Green did.

Final Thoughts

I think these chapters were really like intense like it got to the climax. I understand more and more the book specially like the book was divided in Before and After and now I understand that. I predict that after this Alaska's death, Pudge will find his great perhaps. Or maybe in some ways Alaska is his great perhaps or will show him his great perhaps. I am really excited to keep reading and finish the book to see what happens and I really hope it has a great ending.

A Great Prank Leads to Crazy Things

Summary of this week´s chapters

Me basically reading all of this chapters.
The Colonel goes back to Culver to make Alaska and Pudge spend thanksgiving with him and his mother. After spending a great thanskigiving in the Colonel´s house they go back to Culver. Alaska tells the Colonel about the snitching of Paul and Mayra and he gets very mad because he tells Alaska that he can´t trust her anymore. Everyone comes back from the christmas break to culver and Alaska tells the Colonel and Pudge to do a pank to the weekday warriors and as Alaska and the Colonel plan the prank, Pudge fells excluded. They all tell the Eagle they were away so he doesn´t suspect the prank was from them. The prank was to light up fireworks so the Eagle would go see who it was and then the Colonel would send letters to the weekday warrior´s parents saying that their childs are failing the classes. They did it successfuly. The next day they talked and drank and then they slept in a barn and Pudge shares sleeping bag with Lara and they kiss and she ends up being his girlfriend. The next day at night Alaska, Pudge and the Colonel drink to celebrate their prank and they get very drunk and Alaska ends up making out with Pudge. When Alaska is asleep, Pudge tells her that he is in love with her and then she tells the Colonel and Pudge to distract the Eagle so she can leave and they distract the Eagle and Alaska leaves drunk and crying drunk.

Important quotes

"In the dark, I could make the outline of her face and her large, round eyes blinking down at me, her eyelashes almost fluttering against my forehead" (Green 122).

I think this quote is like so romantic and beautiful. Is so nice how the author uses imagery to describe in a really nice way Lara. It shows how much Pudge loves her. The only question I have is why did Pudge did this if he was in love with Alaska?

"As she slept, I whispered ´I love you Alaska Young´" (Green 131).

Now in this quote it clearly shows that Pudge loves Alaska. I was so confused before with Lara but now I think things are clear. Although I am still confused. What is going to happen with Lara? What is going to happen with Alaska?

Final Thoughts

I am soooo shocked with everything that happened in this chapters. I feel like this is the high peek of the book. I can´t wait to continue reading the book and see what happens. I can´t believe that Pudge and Alaska maked out omg. And I also think is so dumb how Alaska just left, what is going to happen now? I predict that Alaska would come back because I think Alaska is also in love with Pudge.

Pudge Clearly Loves Alaksa

Summary of this week´s chapters

How much I want Pudge and Alaska to be together
In this week, the weekday warriors try to make a truce with the Colonel and Pudge but since the colonel is very mad they declined. Later, Pudge and his friends went to smoke on their usual secret place but the Eagle (their supervisor) caught them and they go to like a jury to decide their punishment. Alaska and the Colonel take the blame so they are punished 10 hours of community service. Alaska plans a triple and a half date, Alaska and her boyfriend(Jake), Pudge and Lara (who is a russian student Alaska wants Pudge to be with), the Colonel and his girlfriend(Sara) and Takumi (one of Pudge´s friends) he goes alone. They went to see a basketball game and Pudge gets hit in the face and he gets a concussion so he goes back to his room and when he wakes up, the Colonel tells Pudge that Sara dumped him. The weekday warriors played a prank on Alaska that was flooding her room and ruining her stuff so later she and Pudge plan a payback prank. Takumi tells Pudge that the on e who ratted out Mayra and Paul was Alaska because if she didn´t she was going to get kicked out of Culver Creek. Alaska conviced Pudge to stay with her at Culver Creek on Thanksgiving vacactions and they spent a lot of time together and Pudge felt more in love with her.

Important quotes

"I should have been nicer to her. I don´t know. It´s sad" (Green 66).

I think this quote is such a grat example of characterization. In the book you infeer a lot about the Colonels personality. Like at the begining of the book you think the Colonel is pretty much careless about almoat everything. After reading this quote you can see how the Colonel is very emotional and fragile and he does show emotions. Because Sara was someone he didn´t loved that much but still he is very sad and everything.

"How could I abandon my parents, who were nice enough to pay for my education at Culver Creek, my parents who always loved me, just because I maybe liked some girl with a boyfriend?" (Green 78).

I think this quote is so cuteee! Is so amazing how Pudge decides he loves so much Alaska that he is staying for her. Like not being with his parents and in home that he wanted just for her. I think Alaska should have appreciated this a lot because not every guy does this.

Final thoughts

This book is so relatable and I like that so much. Like I had heard a lot about Culver and I can´t belive it was also in this book. When I saw first this book I didn´t thought it was going to be so amazing. I predict and I reallyyyy want for Alaska and Pudge to be together. If that happens my only wonder is how is Alaska and Jake are going to break up. I am so excited to continue reading.
