She Finally Knows It

Summary of this week's chapter....

In this week's chapters a lot of things happened. In the first chapter, Sutton remembers all that happened the night she gets killed. So what happened was that since Sutton had a secret relation with Thayer they went to Sabino Canyon. When they arrived they talked things about how much they loved and missed each other and then they got into a fight about telling people about their relation so Thayer gets really mad and leaves. Sutton gets really scared and wants to leave when someone grabs her and then her memory fades! In the next chapter Emma tells Ethan to pick her up from the police station where they interrogate Emma and Emma wants to talk with Thayer to know if he has any connection with Sutton but Ethan doesn't want Emma to talk to Thayer. Later, Sutton gets home and she calls Greyhound buses to see when Thayer came back to Tucson (where they lived). The girl on the phone tells Emma that Thayer arrived to Tucson the same night Sutton was murdered! The next day Emma goes to class and she noticed everyone was talking about Thayer then she sees Laurel (her sister) and Madeline (Sutton's friend and Thayer's sister) with a petition to free Thayer from jail and shirts that said "Free Thayer". Laurel felt something for Thayer, that was the reason why she was mad at Emma because she sent Thayer to jail. To make Emma feel bad, Laurel was planning to do a prank on Ethan since she knew Emma had something with Ethan. Since nobody from Emma's friends knew about Ethan and her she couldn't refuse to do that prank so Emma had to agree to do the prank. Mrs. Mercer (Sutton's adoptive mother and Laurel's mother) planned a dinner outside because she knew Laurel was pissed off at Emma so she did the dinner to make Emma and Laurel solve things. Laurel went out of her room so Emma got into her room to see if there was any clue of Sutton's murder so she went to the calendar and she saw that in the back side of the August page, in the box of the thirty first there were the initials TV so she started to wonder if it was Thayer Vega until Laurel spot Emma on her room and she invented an excuse. Then, they arrived at the restaurant and there it was Garret (Sutton's ex) that saw Emma get out of the police station and he mention that in front of the whole family and they had no idea Sutton was there so Emma invented it was something of the shoplifting she did the other day. In the last chapter, Emma and her friends go to Madeline's house to plan the prank. When she arrived they were planning what to do and then Laurel, trying to make Emma feel bad again, said that the prank they should make should be to tell a fake author that Ethan stole his poems and that he was going to use them on the poetry slam that he was going to participate and that supposedly only Emma knew but Emma told that to Laurel and with all the shame Emma wanted to go to the bathroom and she saw Thayer's room so she got in to see if there was any clue and she found the notes Sutton and Thayer wrote to each other and then Madeline's father got in and Emma had to invent that she was looking for the bathroom so she got back to Madeline's room. 

Important quotes....

"I love Garrett in a way. He's a good boyfriend." (73) This quote really made me thought about if Garrett ever knew if Sutton had any connection to Thayer or maybe suspected anything about them because the book never says anything about Sutton and Garrett's breakup. "I wonder how many other times my parents had tried whatever means necessary to force Laurel and me to be friends."(111) This also makes me wonder how was Sutton's and Laurel's relation. Like maybe when they were little they really loved each other and then something happened and now they don't like each other or it was just for what happened with Thayer or maybe something else. 

Final thoughts...

The book has a lot of clues right now. I learned about a lot of characters right now and how everyone is at least a little important for Emma. I think maybe Laurel will forgive Emma and she will help Emma with clues. I also think Ethan is going to be really pissed off at Emma for not telling him about the prank. I think the TV on Laurel's calendar is going to be really important and I hope I can find out about it on this week's chapters.
